Q: Bosch SHU3302 soap dispenser does not open. I took apart the cover and cleaned the cover and part attached to door. Door does not appear to be spring loaded - is this proper or is something missing? Still will not open to dispense the soap.
A: One problem is that if you're using a liquid soap instead of powder, they're notorious for preventing the door from opening as the liquid soap gets behind the door and gums it up. You are going to have to take the front panel off and look at the dispenser to see what I mean. Other than that time to call MR. Repair Man.
It should definitely be spring loaded. If the spring is missing that could be a simple fix (assuming you know what you're doing). This seems to be a common problem with your model. If it were me I would go to Lowes and find a similar one to see what part might be broken or missing.
